Returning: status and messages

Go to the check-your-tip page, enter your tip code, and add your passphrase if you set one. You’ll see your tip’s status and any messages from your program.

  1. Go to the check-your-tip page.
  2. Enter your tip code.
  3. If you set a passphrase when you sent your tip, enter it too.
  4. Continue to open your tip.

Without a passphrase, you can still see your tip’s status and any reward. Your messages stay locked until you add one.

  • Received: your tip is in the system.
  • Routed for review: it has been passed to the program that can act on it.
  • Under review: your program is looking into what you sent.
  • Actionable: your program can act on what you shared.
  • Closed: work on this tip has ended.

If your tip has a passphrase, you can send a message any time and read replies from your program. Type your message and send it. It’s added to your thread, and any reply from your program appears there too.

If your tip doesn’t have a passphrase yet, you can add one from your tip page to start sending messages.

Once your tip is closed, you can’t send a new message. If a reward is on its way, you can still finish that step on the same page.

Check your tip as often as you like. TypVault doesn’t record when you check, or how many times. There’s no log of your visits. Your tip code lets you in, and that’s the only thing the system knows.

TypVault has no other way to reach you. There’s no email and no phone call, so updates only show up when you come back and check.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911 directly.
